The Saga of the Volsungs

Based on the 5th century Norse epic poem, this film concept follows the prophesied hero Sigurd as he embarks on adventure and struggles with the grim reality of sacrifice and war. Looking for a kingdom to help him reclaim his ancestral home, he allies himself with the Niflung court. Deception, disillusionment, and destiny are all central themes of this subversive saga, where victory and defeat are not mutually exclusive.
